Tema: "Reti Sociali: porte di verità e di fede; nuovi spazi di evangelizzazione."

In prossimità della Giornata Mondiale delle Comunicazioni Sociali del 2013, desidero proporvi alcune riflessioni su una realtà sempre più importante che riguarda il modo in cui le persone oggi comunicano tra di loro. Vorrei soffermarmi a considerare lo sviluppo delle reti sociali digitali che stanno contribuendo a far emergere una nuova «agorà», una piazza pubblica e aperta in cui le persone condividono idee, informazioni, opinioni, e dove, inoltre, possono prendere vita nuove relazioni e forme di comunità.

St Paul Novitiate, Pampanga. On its second installment, the PAULikula Productions of St. Paul Novitiate showcased three short films which tackle the real message of the season of Advent. Written, directed and produced by novices themselves, Maghihintay, May Darating sa Pasko, and Emmanuel aimed to lead regular Mass goers of St. Paul Novitiate Chapel into a deeper reflection and appreciation of the Advent and Christmas seasons respectively.

Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, Archbishop of Manila, launched the 4^th Saint Paul National Bible Quiz at the Arzobispado de Manila, Intramuros, in the morning of January 19, 2013. In his inspirational message to the members of the Society of Saint Paul, their collaborators, and Bible Quiz sponsors, the Cardinal acknowledged their efforts to bring the Word of God especially to young people. Taking the challenge of Pope Benedict XVI’s Porta Fidei in the Year of Faith, the Cardinal noted that it is the Lord who opens “the door of faith” and invites us to enter. It really hurts, as life’s experience tells us, if we open the door and people do not enter. The Word of God in Scriptures is a door that we open to the young who are presented with many other doors in a secular society. If we go to the young and invite them in, if we open the Word of God to them and address their desires, we will discover their hearts are open to God.
